General Discussion
Umm...I think I caught snippets of Katie's natural voice at times in this episode...especially in the kitchen scenes :-)
Has anyone else noticed that the show is consist with taking place in Kansas City Missouri. Including the location of UMKC University of Missouri Kansas City, but yet the license plates on vehicles including Bay's say Kansas?? This has drove me nuts every since I realized it!
I will confess that I am not normally an avid fan of this show, but I heard about this storyline and made sure to catch up with it. My reaction is "Oh my God, these people have made me fell bad for DAVID FRIGGIN KAROFSKY!!" And they expect us to just see that Tank is now living in shame, but Bay deserves more sympathy and attention. Why?! What is supposed to make us care more about her then the guy who is now labeled a date rapist because of this mess.
1. They say that both sides made mistakes, but why are they acting like Bay was victimised? 2. How could people say that Tank deserves it in ANY way? Because he didn't feel bad afterwards? Because he remembered more?
The claim that they both made mistakes is reasonable since they got that level of drunk. However, I find myself being more angry at Bay than Tank. Not because of what she did, but what she did afterwards. I know she felt uncomfortable the "morning after", but she had no business letting the word RAPE fly around. And she had no business trying to blame Tank. Tank didn't drug, force, trick, or take advantage of her. His only mistake was getting the same level of intoxication as her, and this just because it's dangerous in general.
As far as the event it seems to have been this. 1. Bay got drunk 2. Tank got drunk 3. They somehow met and ended up in bed. This something they've done with adult characters from other shows and there are even real life situations of intoxicated people having consensual sex. "This will ruin my life. Do you think I deserve that?" he asked. "Did I deserve having something done to me when I was too drunk to give you permission?" she replied. "I didn't know it was without your permission!" Tank said. "Somewhere, in your mind, did some part of you know that what you were doing was wrong?" "I was drunk, too!" "But, did you have a feeling that you were doing something wrong?" "I don’t know! I don’t know…" Bay had no business trying to make Tank feel guilty or say he was to blame too. He was just as drunk as she was and he didn't even plan to see her that night. How was he suddenly responsible for her choices? How was he supposed to read her mind and tell what she wanted or not? especially since she was in that bar after a fight with her boyfriend. How was he supposed to magically be the first one to overcome his intoxication and rescue her from herself? If Bay had ended up driving and hurting someone, If she punched someone, If she killed someone while under the same level impairment, It would be on her only. This means that unless Tank hauled her over his shoulder, she was still responsible for her actions.
Like I said before, Bay let this turn into a scandal where there was none. She didn't have any evidence of an actual crime aside from her regret and uncertainty. Neither of these give someone the write to say they were victimized especially since there were at least a few people that saw them and think there was nothing bad going on. She should've just admitted that she made a mistake, told Emmett, taken her break up and tried to move on. If she was still uncertain, she should have tried to figure out what happened before making complaints. She should have also just said NO when people asked her if she was raped. If Tank had raped her, he wouldn't have told her and everyone else that they had sex.
To me this whole thing seems to be a case of two people that had a drunk hookup, the girl regretting it so much she wanted to shift the blame.
What I am hoping for is at least one more appearance from him in season 5. Since their basing this on the real life case, they can do an episode where he chooses to fight through legal means and Bay is forced to give testimony. It would make sense especially since his dad might decide to get involved. Another possibility would be his suicide since they showed him depressed.
Overall, I just would like the show to either give him a more absolute conclusion, not some fanfic fuel.
If you agree or disagree please reply.
PS If I have this in the wrong category, I apologize
Hello, everyone. Welcome to the Completion Project!
Who: Admin DarkCougar555 created to present The Completion Project that it will allow those wiki users to improve this Switched at Birth (SAB) Wiki for useful information, guide, and fun.
What: The project is intended for adding & editing well informed articles, better writing quality, adding proper citations, and better organizing.
When: The deadline is New Year 2017, however anybody can continue to work on those incomplete articles after December is over. Importantly, SAB admins and mods encourage that they and wiki users do their best try to finish those as many as possible. Hopefully, we can make it to 80 percents of this whole wikia are completed before 2017 begins.
Where: This project here, via online, of course! :)
Why: Unfortunately, due to our lack of admins and members activity, this wikia still looks like it is abandoned, messy, and incomplete. That is why the project exists to get this wikia keep going and to make it more useful information that can make wiki users enjoy reading!
But, what should we do, and how can we do...? First, you can pick any one, few, or some of those tasks you want to contribute something. You will get nice medals for your doings! Please visit the page, Awards, for basic information and simple rules.
Here's four tasks list as our first priority:
- To write up a recap for any episode.
- To write an episode summary in a character article's "Series" section.
- To add more pictures and videos to "Gallery" sections.
- To add or edit trivial informations to or on "Trivia sections" if there are any.
Here's two tasks list as our second priority:
- To organize and or add categories.
- To improve The Cast pages.
First Priority
Write-up recaps: If you already own all season of SAB from Amazon, Google Play store, or any online stores, then you can watch an episode to write a recap up. (Look at the first episode of the first season for good explain.) If you have your own Netflix account, you can add SAB to your watchlist! Please be sure that you follow our guideline for those episodes.
- Bonus: You will be awarded for adding or editing 10 or more recaps! (See Write-up Awards) Also, you will be awarded for grammar and spelling. (See Grammar Checker Awards.) You will have default awards for a number of edits you had made.
To add or edit more summaries: In a character article, in the "Series" section, if a character misses an episode summary, a wiki user can add it to Series. If it needs some good quality writing, he or she is free to do some grammar correcting. But, please be sure that you follow our guideline for those SAB characters, too.
- Bonus: You will be awarded for improving character articles! (See Characters Awards.) You will be awarded for grammar and spelling as well, and you will have default awards for a number of edits you had made.
To add more pictures & videos: In a character or episode article, if the "Gallery" section is emptied, or it has not enough of pictures and/or videos, a wiki user can update the section. We also have our guideline for images.
- Bonus: You will be awarded for uploading pictures. (It's a default award for Pictures track.)
To add trivial informations: In a character or episode article, if the "Trivia" section is emptied, or it has not enough of trivias, a wiki user can update the section.
- Bonus: You will be awarded for adding or editing trivias (See Reporter Awards), and you will have default awards for a number of edits you had made.
Second Priority
To organize and or add categories: This is our second priority, so it is just an option. If you're interested to do some organizing and correcting articles' categories, please go ahead.
- Bonus: You can get an award for Organizing Awards and a default award for Category track.
To improve The Cast articles: This is also our second priority, therefore it is an another option. But, currently, we don't have The Cast guideline, yet. Because we hadn't decided what we will overhaul those outdated Cast pages, but if you're interested in improving and/or overhauling the Cast pages, please feel free to leave a comment here! Thank you!
- Bonus: You definitely will be awarded for The Cast Awards.
That is about all. We hope you are interested to get involved with us for our active project! Do you have any question, idea suggestion, or feedback? Please feel free to post a comment here! Thank you for reading!

I notice some editors still keep the old way. So, I figure that we should discuss how we will reform and improve those character articles. The articles for character should look like this:
1) A little detail about the character.
3) Plot: Seasons, First to Third
2) Phyical Appearance & Personality
4) Relationships: Parthers, Friends & Foes
4) Trivia/Notes
5) Refereneces
What do you think?
EDIT: I realize I forget to mention infoboxes. All character pages' old infoboxes really need to be updated as soon as possible. I moved the templates to the tabs on the main pain. Character Infobox is in "The Characters" and Episode Infobox is in "The Episodes". That's more easier for editors to find those.
Do you have any question about infobox templates? Please feel free to post a comment if you do. Thank you.
I just want to know what your opinion is on disabling verus enabling comments on the articles.
Personally, I find articles with comments quite distracting. Removing the comments section and encouraging to use the forum is the best move to do that. However, if you want to keep the comments feature, then I might clean up some unncessary comments. (e.i.- spams on articles, pairing wars, childish behaviors, etc.) Also, I want to know what/how do you want to reform the comments section if you prefer to keep them?
I'm forward to see the better improvement on the comments. So, what do you think?
It's really nice to have a chat/discussion on this forum. Well, it's shame that this forum feature has only four topics per thread. That means you can only add four character or episode articles (or whatever articles are) to any thread.
Unless is there something that I am not aware?
